Dan Ticktum

In 2013, Dan became the European Vice Champion in KF Junior (class for 13-15 years) and claimed the Margutti Trophy.

In 2014, Dan raced with Zanardi Strakka Racing as their number one driver in KFJ, for his assault on the major European and World titles. Dan finished the season as Vice Champion in WSK Masters and 3rd in WSK Champions Cup. He also broke the lap record at the Brands Indy circuit on his first test in single seaters with Lanan Racing in the BRDC Formula 4 Championship.

In 2015, the young Brit signed with Fortec Motorsport to continue his Formula 1 journey in the MSA Formula 4.

Returning to motorsport in 2016, Dan competed in the final round of the European Formula 3 Championship in Hockenheim with Carlin. He then won his second comeback race in the BRDC British Formula 3 Championship Autumn Trophy event at Snetterton. That year, Dan also competed in the prestigious Macau Grand Prix with Double R Racing where he finished an impressive 8th in Saturday’s qualifying race before he had to retire early in Sunday’s main race.

In January 2017, Dan was announced as a Red Bull Junior Team driver and competed in the 2017 Formula Renault Eurocup series with Arden International, finishing 7th overall and 2nd best Rookie. He also competed in the final three rounds of the 2017 GP3 series at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza, Circuito de Jerez and the Yas Marina Circuit, scoring very well with podium finishes. In November 2017, he won the FIA Formula 3 World Cup at the legendary Macau Grand Prix in only his third ever race in the category. He finished his year by winning the most prestigious accolade any junior British racing driver can hope to receive: the 2017 McLaren Autosport BRDC Award.

In 2018, Dan raced in the FIA Formula 3 European Championship together with Motopark where he finished the season as Vice Champion. He also competed in two rounds, Sugo and Fuji, in the 2018 Super Formula Championship with Team Mugen and in November, Dan won the Macau Grand Prix once more after already claiming victory the year before. He finished the 2018 season by competing in the final FIA Formula 2 round in Abu Dhabi with Arden International.
